About the Game

In the Year of Our Lord 1096, the cry of Deus Vult! echoed across Europe. Pope Urban II’s call to liberate Jerusalem summoned thousands from ironclad knights, ambitious nobles, grizzled veterans, and barefoot pilgrims clutching wooden crosses. While united in religious purpose, the Crusaders were divided by cultural rivalries, conflicting interests, and the hardships of medieval campaigning.

In Crusade: Road to Jerusalem, you represent the overall leader of this coalition. The Franks bring raw strength, the Normans bold cunning, the Byzantines political influence, and the common pilgrims unshakable faith. But each walks a different path, and it will take a steady hand to guide them. Shortages, rivalries, and the grinding hardships of the march will test your leadership at every step.

The journey will test your ability to manage resources, choose strategic routes, and respond to political and military challenges. Along the way you will negotiate alliances, conduct sieges, endure hostile terrain, and strive to keep the Crusade united until you stand before the walls of Jerusalem or see the expedition dissolve into failure.
