Designer's Description
This is an elevation map for the board game Dune:War for Arrakis. I wanted the different terrains to really stand out during gameplay.
- Mountains - Hatchbox Brown PLA
- Plateau - BambuLabs Brown PLA
- Minor Erg - BambuLabs Beige PLA
- Impassable border: BambuLabs Translucent Blue PETG
- Text and icons - white, black, red PLA
The North Pole and isolated Plateau were oroginally sculpted from 1' insulation foam then 3D-scanned to created those pieces. The rest main region was created by tracing the map outline and extruding the regions in Fusion 360. Was tricky to get the balance of form and function here, very happy to hear any suggestions!
