The Anarchy - A functional insert
This is an insert for the board game The Anarchy.
The insert is suitable for:
- the basic game and all currently available promos
- supports quick game setup
- uses multiple trays to better distribute frequently used resources on the table
- Icons: all important trays are provided with corresponding images, icons or texts so that the contents can be recognized directly
- 💡 Smart insert: parts of the insert can be used during the game.
- Regardless of whether the game sheet is full or empty: thanks to fully closable trays with lids, the game can be stored vertically and horizontally without game material flying around
- sleeved and unsleeved cards (tested sleeves are listed further down in the FAQ)
- Board flattener: small, barely visible clips that can be clamped under the player boards to flatten them.
### Description
The insert stores the entire game content, including the KS Promo Tokens.
The insert is designed in such a way that it enables a very fast game set-up, functionally complements the game and the player material is stored within easy reach for each player in corresponding trays. Both horizontal and vertical storage is no problem. In addition, the insert naturally supports sleeved and unsleeved cards.
It is often the case that you reach for resources and workers in The Anarchy. This can be tedious with several players, especially if you are sitting further away from each other, the tokens and workers are not always to hand.
I have therefore set up the insert so that all resources and workers are always divided equally between two identical trays. This makes it easy to distribute the trays across the table and place them within easy reach of every player. The tokens and workers are also placed in the corresponding trays in the game box, so that they can be taken out of the game box in exactly the same way and thus enable a super fast setup for any number of players.

As with my other inserts, the game material is stored in a player tray. The special feature here is that the entire player tray can be used functionally. When you open the player tray, you have an inlay for the game pieces, which you can place next to the game board, and you can use the rest of the insert as a draw and discard pile inlay

Designing an insert for Anarchy is not necessarily easy. The stack of sheets decreases with each game, which leads to more and more space becoming free in the game box. Inserts that used to fit well no longer fit so well and can move freely. This messes up the entire contents. That's why I decided to design each tray as a box with a matching lid for this insert. The lid sits firmly so that everything stays tucked away and nothing flies around, even with freely movable inlays. Last but not least, 2 more things. It bothered me that the player boards didn't lie flat. That's why I designed small flattener clips that you can attach to the player boards. These keep the boards flat.
I am also a monk who wants to have pens in the appropriate number of players in the game box for all pen & paper games. For this purpose, I used the remaining free space and quickly converted it into a pen tray.
For all those who own a Bambulab: There is a .3mf file with pre-colored trays. This file is ready to print.
I hope you like the insert. If something bothers you, if you would like to make additions or changes, please feel free to contact me. I am receptive to any feedback and happy to make useful changes.
### **How do I pack the game?**
Although its quite easy to pack, I appended an packing instruction pdf in the downloadable files, which you can print and put into the game box.
### **What content can I store with the insert?
The entire content of the base game and the KS Promo Token Set.
### **Do the wipeable boards also fit in?
Yes, the wipe-clean boards also fit in, but then you have to accept a small lid lift. However, as you usually play the game block away, it becomes thinner and thinner and the lid lift disappears due to the space that is freed up
### **Does the insert have a lid lift?
I deliberately opted for a 5mm lid lift, as this allows the game material to be divided into identical trays, speeds up the game setup and the game material can be placed within easy reach for everyone during the game. The lid lift becomes less important with each additional game, as the block with the game sheets shrinks with each game and the lid lift disappears after a while anyway. The same applies to the use of wipeable boards (as answered in the question above).
### **Can you also store sleeved cards?
Yes, the insert supports both sleeved and unsleeved cards.
Sleeves I have used:
- MED 43x67mm Soft Board Games & Card Sleeves (40 microns)
- Sleeve Kings (SKS-8821) 54x86mm “North Sea / Garphill Games” sleeves (60 microns)
- Also tried: Paladin (45×68 mm) Arthur Mini European Card Sleeves (90 microns). Not necessarily recommended as these are significantly larger than the small cards and also very thick. It fits in the insert, but is very crowded:)
### **How is the insert structured?
The insert is designed to support a quick game setup. There are also 2 resource trays, 2 coin trays and 2 worker trays, making it easier to distribute the game material on the table straight from the box. Ideal for 2 players or more.
### **Is it possible to store the game box horizontally and vertically?
Yes, as all trays are provided with an additional lid, the game material is safely stowed away even when stored vertically.
### **What do you mean by Smart Insert?
I design all my inserts in such a way that they ideally enhance the gaming experience. Be it because of a quick set-up or because they can be used in addition to the game. For example, the player tray consists of 3 elements. A lid, a box and an inlay. When put together, it stores the game safely. When pulled apart, the inlay can be placed next to the game board to store the tokens for the castle, the box can be used as a draw pile and the lid as a discard pile.

### **The insert has several colors and displays colored icons on the lids of the trays. How did you do it and how can I copy it?
I printed the insert with my Bambu P1S. This means that I used the Bambulab software for coloring. I have also included a 3mf project file with the download files, which already has the appropriately colored tray. This can be reused for the same printer.
### **Do you also support smaller printers like the Bambu A1 Mini?
Yes, usually my inlays are large enough to be printed on a small printer. If larger parts are included, I offer the larger inlays in a clip-together format or divide them directly into smaller elements. The latter is always noted in the corresponding file name and here in the FAQs.
### **What are the flattener clips?**
Some player boards are curved at the folding point, which can be annoying when sliding cards underneath or placing material on top. That's why I designed small clips that you can clip under the player boards so that they lie flat on the floor

### **How much filament does your insert need and how long is the printing time?
The color print on my Bambu P1S (with AMS) printer consumed a total of 600g WITH filament change with a print time of just under 18h39min. A single color print would use 533g of filament with a print time of 12h54.
### **Are supports needed?**
No, the insert can be printed completely without supports
### **What are your print settings?
- FDM Print
- 0.4 Nozzle
- Layer height 0.2mm
- No Support
- No Brim (in case of warping issues, use brim)
### **Print list, what do I have to print and in what quantity?
The _xNUMBER extension indicates how often a part must be printed. For example, *bread_and_wood_tray_lid_x2.stl* must be printed exactly twice, whereas files without the _xNUMBER extension only need to be printed once (e.g. *plunder_tiles_tray.stl*).

- bread_and_wood_tray_x2
- clipper_tray
- clipper_tray_lid
- coins_and_pattern_token_tray_lid_x2
