Designer's Description

Usage

This works with the deluxe Matsuri edition of Let's Go to Japan and includes space for all of the following:

  • Passport Expansion
  • Day Trip Expansion

As well as storage space for the following:

  • Luggage Tag
  • Cloth wrap
  • All cloth bags

This does not include space for the bowls that came in a separate box. It also does not support sleeved cards .

Design Notes

This insert had three main goals that distinguish it from others.

  • Two sets of token trays to be used across the table from each other
  • Separate player boxes for each player color that sorted the flat and thick icon discs
  • Space for all of the “extras” that came with the Matsuri edition of the game (bowls not included)

Printing

Print 1x of all files except for the following:

  • Player Pieces (x5)
  • Research, Wilds (x2)

Note that "Trains(-1), Walks, +12" differs from “Trains, Walks, +12” because there are 25 total trains. As such, one tray is designed to hold 13 trains while the other has 12 trains.

Assembling the Insert

The fit for the cloth wrap is very tight, but it does fit. You just need to be very deliberate and careful how you fold it.

I turn the original player bags inside out to make sure that the draw strings don't dangle. You need to layer them such that half are facing one way and half are facing the other so that the drawstring thickness is even.
