Designer's Description

I may be in the minority here, but I really hated the Speakeasy insert. The player trays are great (and they’re still used here), but the ones for the setup components, cards, and money were too bulky to leave on the table. And with the board as big as it is, 4 player games often result in having to reach long distances to access common resources (money, goons, barrels, leverage, etc.). And let’s not even start to mention the fiddliness of Mobster Strength Tokens…

This insert aims to mitigate some of those concerns. It features:

  • 2x sets of trays for Money, Goons, Barrels, and Leverage to be used on opposite ends of the table
  • Easy access Operations card tray, which allows decks to be easily lifted for discarding cards. Also includes a slot to display cards if playing solo.
  • Optional card slot (on Cops Mobsters Tray) that can fit 3x cards to display Helper cards
  • Easy organization of fiddly Mobster Strength Tokens and Mobster Tiles.
  • Separate tray for Solo cards.
  • Storage and printing for an extra 5x Blocked District tiles (allowing you to cover each building spot, rather than having it nebulously floating in the middle of the District).

Usage

This accommodates:

  • Speakeasy base game
  • Kickstarter Upgrade Expansion Pack
  • Space for extra leverage (wooden / cardboard)
  • Space for 5x extra Blocked District tiles

This will not work for sleeved cards .

This design re-uses parts of the insert from the original base game:

  • All 4x player trays
  • The clear plastic cover for the player trays
  • Black foam spacers used to cushion player boards

This Remix is for you if you:

  • Like beefier, chunkier inserts
  • Are obsessed with having as many rounded corners as possible
  • Are really trying to speed up setup / teardown as much as possible

Lid Lift

This has zero lid lift and packs snugly into the box. That said, the trays are not individually sealed as the original plastic trays are, so this may not work well for vertical storage.

Printing

You will need to print the following:

  • 1x Operations Cards
  • 1x Mobster Tiles
  • 2x Barrels – Goons – Leverage
  • 2x Money (1 – 5 – 10)
  • 2x Money (50 – 100 – 300)
  • 1x Extra Levearge
  • 1x Cops Mobsters
  • 1x Public Goals – Power Cards – Blocked Districts
  • 1x Zone Goals – CP Goals – Port Tiles – Rum Ships – Mob Control
  • 1x Police – Mobster Tiles
  • 1x Helper Cards
  • 1x Crates
  • 1x City Tiles
  • 1x Solo Cards
  • 1x Extras
  • Optional: 5x Blocked Districts
