Corrosion - Board game insert

This custom insert for Corrosion is designed to make setup and teardown as fast and intuitive as possible while preserving the game’s industrial theme.

The insert keeps the original box insert intact and adds dedicated storage for all loose components. The centerpiece is a fully assembled resource rig , built from interlocking gears of different sizes. Each gear functions as a tray for tokens, while an integrated water tank holds water tokens separately.

A functional turning wheel allows you to rotate the gear system to access specific trays—primarily for thematic immersion, but also for practical organization. A sturdy handle makes lifting the entire rig in and out of the box effortless.

All setup cards and tiles are stored in three clearly labeled trays with iconography, ensuring every component has a fixed, easy-to-identify place.

This is a moderately complex print requiring well-calibrated printers and high-quality filament.

Assembly overview:

• Rig
• Assemble gears onto the rig according to size order shown in reference images
• Ensure correct placement of each gear segment
• Screw thread nuts onto the handle until flush
• Attach handle (circle-marked end aligns with largest gear)
• Tighten nuts to secure the threaded connection between handle and rig
• Engineer card tray
• Put golden inlays in first 2 small slots until the clip in on the sides. best way is to use the actual tokens to push them in. You might want to use glue, but it holds without as well.
