Designer's Description

When I got my copy of Vestige, one of the map tiles was damaged on the back and made it very "visible" against the others when they were supposed to be hidden face down. After looking at the rest of them, little marks could be noted on certain ones to memorize what is underneath. I made these to cover the backs and keep them uniform and they have an added bonus of protecting them. I made 4 versions so that you can use the size and fitting that you like best. They're all very close in size but they go in order from loosest to tightest like this: Loose, Snug, Goldilocks, Tight. Some pieces have more of a "lip" to them from their die cut so Snug may still feel loose on yours. Tight feels like they will never come off but you can still get them out, although you will rough up the edges doing so. The one I named Goldilocks is the one I liked the best as it seems to stay on well but is easier to remove. The other two will likely fall off of them but some may like that if they are worried about and edge scuffing when putting them on or taking them off. For the extra map tiles module I would just print the ones that are supposed to be readable in gray or some other distinguishable color. With them on, they're a little tight in the insert at the bottom of the wells but mine could still fit and 5 can be stacked in each well. The tightest fit is very slightly smaller but I didn't notice much up a difference for the insert. I have the "Swanky" edition so I don't know if there is a difference in the regular version.

I printed this using a standard 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height.

Hope this helps anyone in my predicament or who otherwise just wants some added protection and obscurity!

Edit: Well I went to put mine in the insert and even though they will fit well enough into a single well, they push against the others a bit too much when adding in the adjacent wells.. I'm going to make them one wall thick and will post those soon. I think two walls are still better but it looks like it would need a remade insert to be able to fit them in there again afterwards..

Edit (7/13/2026): I made a "Tight Insert Fit 1 Wall" that actually seems pretty sturdy and so far seems like you can jam it into the insert. At least I can in mine. It would still be better if the insert was reprinted with larger hex spaces but I'll leave that to someone else to do for now. I also added a file for this same cover with a hole in the middle for the 4 indicated contact tiles from the maps module in case you prefer to indicate it that way. I don't have a multicolor printer working at the moment so I'm sure someone can paint the symbol in there if they would rather it be flat. Otherwise just print the non-holed version in a different color like gray.
