Railroad Tiles (Collector's Edition) Insert
Made an insert for the Collector's edition of Railroad Tiles (from the kickstarter).
Sits in 3 layers. The bottom and middle layer are identical in height. The top layer is smaller. Each of the bottom 2 layers will take 2 short inserts (e.g. the base tokens, forest, desert, energy), and 3 long inserts (canals, lakes, countryside, world, base tiles, monuments). See pictures for an example of how it all goes together.
Each insert has a separate spot for the route tiles, the 5 player (V) route tiles, each specific type of objective tile, and whatever tokens go with that expansion.
- Print 1 of everything except the small bag holder on the top layer, print two of those.
- Enable supports for rt_travelers_etc.stl; nothing else needs supports. This one nests on top of rt_player_placement.stl
- Either print rt_rules_bags_whole, or print one each of the rt_rules_bags_parts if your printer won't fit the whole one. They'll next together
- .2mm layer height, 3 wall loops, 10-15% infill (I used 15%), PLA (or whatever).
If you paint the letters (tedious in the slicer) it makes them really pop. The 3 top boxes are big enough to hold all the bags between them, when the bags are folded neatly.
The box will be a fair amount heavier once all of this is in it. I used 15% infill, if you're concerned about weight overmuch, probably use 10% to save on some weight & filament. I don't know how it'll work to go
- 11/1/2025 - Added a 4-part version of the rules/bags box for some printers that couldn't print it as a whole piece.
