Designer's Description

Upgrade the cardboard currency in Shackleton Base with textured, two-sided coins that match the original components in size and thickness.

Each coin is printed in two halves and glued together. This approach keeps the embossed texture on both sides while avoiding the need for supports during printing. I designed these for use with my Shackleton Base Deluxe Insert

How to print

  • Print the coin halves on a smooth build plate.
  • Pop the halves from the plate.
  • Match the front and back pieces.
  • Glue them together with a small drop of superglue.

The finished coins match the dimensions of the cardboard coins, including the embossed details.

Materials

I printed mine using:

  • Bambu PLA Silk+ Gold
  • Bambu PLA Silk+ White
  • Bambu Metal Copper

Any filament combination works. Mixing colors or materials can add nice variation between coins.

I made these to give my game a more premium table presence. At the time of designing them, I could not find other published options for Shackleton Base coins.
