Darwin's Journey + Fireland Expansion+ Mini Expansions Insert (including Komodo Expansion)

This is an insert for the retail edition of the board game Darwin's Journey, which can store the Basegame, the Fireland expansion and all mini expansions. I have been inspired by some inserts, but I have not been able to find one that can store the entire gameplay content. Even though the insert is a pretty tight fit, the lid closes almost flush (lifted at most 3-4mm). The insert is designed so that it can also store cards with thin to medium sleeves (tested with Paladin "Tristan" sleeves with a thickness of 90 microns). Since I do not own the Plastic Wax Seals, Realist Wooden Lenses and the metal coins, I did not take these into account when designing the insert. Under certain circumstances they could still fit. However, I have designed 2 additional trays which can be used instead of the two small card inserts. These create additional space to store other game content such as the Plastic Wax Seals and Realistic Wooden Lenses, but then all cards would have to be stored in the large card tray, which means that there is only enough space for non-sleeved cards.

Print manual:
Each stl needs to be printed at least once.
If a file containts e.g. x4 in its name, it means that this stl needs to be printed 4 times.
Only exceptions are the following:
- If you would like to store plastic wax seals, print deluxe_content_tray_large-UNSLEEVED_CARDS_ONLY.stl and deluxe_tray_small-UNSLEEDVED_CARDS_ONLY.stl instead of card_tray_small_x2.stl
- if you would like to store realistic wooden lenses, print player_tray_x4_ALTERNATIVE_ONLY_FOR_WOODEN_LENSES.stl instead of player_tray_x4.stl.

I don't know for how long, but there was a file missing. It was this one depicted in the image:

It seems like a mixed up some naming and files, so that one went missing for some time. However, with the help of mutliple comments, I finally was able to identify the missing file and added it to the Download Files. it is named misc2_tray.stl. It should be stacked with the objective tiles tray and if everything correct results in a flat surface on a smiliar height as the card trays. Sorry for the confusion and thanks to the community for helping out with this one.

UPDATE 2024-01-04:
I added an alternative player tray (player_tray_x4_ALTERNATIVE_ONLY_FOR_WOODEN_LENSES.stl) that has an additional slot for lenses, so that there is enough space to also hold realistic wooden lenses. If you use this one, you need to stack the ships (added image that shows how the alternative player tray should be sorted). Please note, that this insert should be printed INSTEAD the normal player tray, if you have the intention to store wooden lenses. If you have normal lenses, use the default ones. So in short
- use player_tray_x4.stl for normal lenses
- use player_tray_x4_ALTERNATIVE_ONLY_FOR_WOODEN_LENSES.stl for realistic wooden lenses.
There is no need to print both of those player stl's.

Das ist ein Insert für die Retail Ausgabe des Brettspieles Darwin's Journey, welches neben dem Grundspiel, sowohl die Feuerland Erweiterung als auch alle Mini Erweiterungen lagern kann. Ich habe mich von einigen Inserts inspirieren lassen, jedoch habe ich keins finden können, welches den gesamten Gameplay Content lagern kann. Auch wenn das insert ziemlich knapp passt, schließt der Deckel nahezu bündig ab (maximal 3-4mm abstehend). Das insert ist so designet, dass es auch Karten mit dünnen bis mittleren Sleeves lagern kann (getestet mit Paladin "Tristan" Sleeves mit einer dicke von 90 Mikrons). Da ich selbst nicht im Besitz der Plastik Wachs Siegel, realistischen Holz Linsen und den Metal Münzen bin, habe ich diese beim designen nicht berücksichtigt. Unter umständen könnte diese trotzdem passen. Ich habe jedoch 2 zusätzliche Trays entworfen, welche anstatt der zwei kleinen Card Trays genutzt werden können. Diese schaffen zusätzlich Platz, um weitere Spielinhalte wie die Plastik Wachs Siegel und realistischen Holz Linsen zu lagern. Ganz ohne Nachteil kommt die Lösung leider nicht aus, denn wenn die zwei kleinen Karten Trays ersetzt werden, müssten alle Karten in dem großen Karten Tray gelagert werden. Das bedeutet das der Platz nur für nicht gesleevte Karten reicht.

Ich weiß nicht für wie lange, aber es fehlte eine Datei. Um genau zu sein, war es das tray hier:

Es scheint, als seien einige Namen und Dateien durcheinandergeraten, sodass diese Datei eine Zeit lang fehlte. Mit Hilfe mehrerer Kommentare konnte ich die fehlende Datei jedoch schlussendlich identifizieren und zu den Download-Dateien hinzufügen. Sie heißt misc2_tray.stl. Sie sollte mit dem ojectives_tiles_tray gestapelt werden und wenn alles korrekt ist, ergibt sich eine ebene Fläche auf einer ähnlichen Höhe wie die der Karten trays. Ich bitte die Verwirrung zu entschuldigen und vielen Dank an die Community für die Hilfe, sodass schlussendlich die fehlende Datei ergänzt werden konnte.

UPDATE 2024-01-04:
Ich habe alternative player trays (player_tray_x4_ALTERNATIVE_ONLY_FOR_WOODEN_LENSES.stl)hinzugefügt, welches zusätzlichen Platz für die realistischen Holz Linsen bietet. Wenn ihr dieses player tray nutzt, dann müssen die Schiffe gestapelt werden. Ich habe ein Bild hinzugefügt, welches zeigt wie das player tray einsortiert werden muss. Bitte beachtet, dass das alternative player tray ANSTATT dem normalen player tray benutzt werden kann. Wenn ihr also keine realistischen Holz Linsen habt, so könnt ihr die normalen player trays nutzen. Kurz gesagt:
- Nutzt player_tray_x4.stl für normale Liunsen
- Nutzt player_tray_x4_ALTERNATIVE_ONLY_FOR_WOODEN_LENSES.stl für die realistischen Holz Linsen
Es werden nicht beide player trays benötigt!
