Kingdom Death Monster Monster Box

This is a box which is designed to hold all cards belonging to a Monster from the game Kingdom Death: Monster. I have designed

a box for each of the existing ones (core game or expansion). It fits

• AI Cards
• HL (Hit Location) Cards
• MR (Monster Resource) Cards
• IR (Indomitable Resource) Cards
• Hunt Cards
• S Cards
• other special card types which are needed in the Showdown (e.g. Sword Cards for Atnas)

Not included are all other cards which belong to a monster expansion, like Disorders, Fighting Arts, Strange Resources, … . I store them in the corresponding decks. Maybe I decide to change this in the future, it depends what is more convenient for playing.

• sleeved cards should fit
• name on top, because I'm usually looking on my game box from above when searching for cards
• this was always a problem for me with the original card dividers
• node system added (just because there was some room for it, could be useful)
• monster graphic for a nice finish and easier finding
• a “window” at the front because during a campaign I often need to take a quick look on the basic card to check the monster stats and plan my next steps
• should fit into Xelaser Insert (or the insert I use for the Gambler Chest)
• I decided to not use additional dividers inside the box (to separate HL and AI cards for example)
• I do not see a big advantage, usually all cards are needed
• a bigger size would have been needed and a small box size matters for efficient storage
• Red Witches and Bone Eaters are different here, therefore they will get their own model upload
• in general the fit is tight to save space

• the print profiles might exist in two designs. [D1] and [D2]
• if nothing is mentioned it is [D1]
• read the Changelog description for more details
• there are two profiles for each monster
• first profile contains the box
• second profile contains the lid. I printed it with 0.2er nozzle for a nicer result (needed for font and graphics). Especially the graphics have a lot of fine details
• but even with the finest standard settings still some parts of the graphics are not perfect, but in my opinion good enough (see example pictures)
• with D2 I started to add two print plates
• Standard is the one I'm using for my personal storage. It has the meassurements which fit to my collection
• Wide has an increased width of 2mm. This was added because some of you mentioned that the original size does not fit

• I plan to add additional boxes for future releases and when they become available
• the actual card count for each monster depends on your collection. APG released a lot of Indomitable Survivors with more Indomitable Resources. I possess nearly none of them, so the size might not fit for you, but I think when only 1-2 cards are added it should still be fine
• I don't have the original KDM sleeves, but I hope the difference is not that big, but it could make a difference for you if your sleeves add more width than mine

In this section I try to cover all changes and hopefully this will help you to follow my updates.

At the moment I have two designs. For now most of the print profiles are D1. I don't spend the time to rename them all, so if nothing mentioned a print profile belongs to D1. My plan is to update them all and do some improvments, however for most boxes I will wait for Campaigns of Death, because I expect that we get a lot of updates with this expansion.

• D1: original one from my first print run batch
• contains some typos
• some boxes are too tight or too wide
• during design process all cards were distributed on two tables. The meassurement and my file organization on PC was a complete mess, so errors were done
• but still all of them are working for me. I'm using them and accept some minor issues
• the profile and title of the lid was painted in Bambu Slicer
• which probably means the files do not work in other slicers
• D2: I began to rework some errors from the first batch
• the monster profiles and description is now added in CAD software
• which hopefully makes some things easier for me
• which should allow printing with other slicers (not tested by me)
• and hopefully increases the quality a little bit
• [24.05.26] the side wall width was decreased by 0.5mm on each side
• 1.5mm wall strength is stable enough
• it increases the inner length to 1mm which helps remove and insert the cards
• [24.05.26] engraving added to the ground of the box
• helps assigning the correct box
• the alignment of the titles and font was changed, so there is some difference to D1 here
• it should be more consistent, although it was not a big problem before I in my opinion
• CAD software has less options here to configure the font, this might be a reason to change it again in the future
• the Bambu Print Profile was changed from Fine to Standard
• I think a decreased layer size is not required. The 0.2er nozzle is mostly needed because of its finer x/y resolution
• I played around with some settings to decrease the printing duration, but I was not really successful here (still a 3D printing beginner) so I kept the default settings

• KilleniumWidth inner width is increased from 32mm to 34mm to support additional cards from Killenium Butcher Vignette

• this was a wish from a user
• it is the same box like Screaming Antelope , just the title and the picture was changed
• because there is no official divider for Screaming Nukealope the profile picture has a different style, it is not perfect but might work
