🚀 V2 Upgrade – Push-to-Flip Latch!
This sci-fi-inspired, rugged case just got even cooler. In this updated design, the latch has been completely reworked. Now, with a single push, the lid snaps open in a smooth, dramatic flip. It’s addictive to use and perfect for showing off at your next maker meetup.
✨ What’s New in V2
- Push-to-flip latch mechanism — more fun, more satisfying, and easier to operate.
- Still works with the magnetic pop-open trick for extra flair, or you can run it magnet-free as a regular case.
- Same compact, durable design you loved from V1 — now with improved ergonomics.
🛠️ Build Details
- Measurements: 85mm x 65m (not including the hinges)
- 4 Magnets: 5x3 mm (opposing polarity in the back for the flip trick).
- 3 Screws: 3× M3×20 mm for the hinge.
- Print: PLA Matte at 0.16 mm layer height for a clean finish.
- Tip: Orient the latch/lever at 45° for strength along layer lines.
