Resources for Ascendancy Board Game by Mathew Meeple

I am currently working on creating replacement resource “cubes” for Ascendancy. So far I have made a cube shaped hat for influence and a cube shaped book for knowledge. Not sure how I plan to do it yet but I'm going to try to work out something for the ore, food, and skill cubes as well. I hope you enjoy!

These are meant to be printed in multiple colors. You can stop the influence resource at the point that the white wrap starts and then stop again to continue in purple after that. The knowledge resources are printed in two parts that should press fit together tightly without glue.

Update - 8/27/2025:

• Added files for the ore resource. This is in two files, one for the block and one for the stones/ore. This is admittedly pretty fiddly to put together but again these should press fit in without the need for glue. I print everything in 0.12mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle and this works fine for my purposes. I may just use the same file for the mana stones but with a white block and some kind of magic looking color for the stone as I have some glass purple that I think would work..
• Added files for the food resource. You definitely want to print this in as fine of detail as you can. There are three files that include the bone, the meat, and the block and like everything else it just press fits together. Feel free to use glue if you prefer. Be careful especially with the pedestal on the block that inserts into the base of the meat. It all went together well for me put I broke one when trying to pull it back off the base. The edges of the meat should sit flush with the inside walls of the block and allow it to be printed without any special supports. No supports should be needed for anything here but feel free if you prefer. Not sure how well this will print for everyone so we'll have to see if adjustments are still needed.

Update - 8/31/2025:

• Added file for mana stones. These are basically the simple “raw” form of a mana stone. I'm not sure if I would rather keep these more blocky versions which I do like or go for something more detailed. Our friend from the Ascendancy Discord, Ceiling Hawke , has made a caged version with a d8 style crystal inside that looks quite nice. • Added file an apple version of the food resource in order to make a more blocky and simple design if you prefer.
• Added files for the skill resource. This includes a case and insert so that they can be printed without waste. Print the first few layers up to about 1mm of the insert in red and then switch to white.

I printed all of these files at 0.12mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle which has worked well for me. I'm happy to say that this completes the set!
