This expansion is designed for the deluxe box , ensuring all components fit flush inside. Iron Clay holders serve dual purposes — component storage and in-game bank management.
The profile also includes gray placeholder trays (144×130×25 mm) sized for under the player boxes, and (144×98×25 mm) for under the cars. These can be substituted with any object of matching dimensions. Dedicated trays are provided for player cards and other component storage.

Designer's Description
Where there’s muck, there’s brass.
A premium insert for fast setup, smart organization, and full 3D-printed components.
A brass-toned finish gives a subtle nod to the name, even though there’s no real brass inside — just a lot of love for this amazing game. I built this because I couldn't find a logical and beautiful insert that could hold all 3D-printed premium resources properly. This design focuses on fast setup , durable fit , premium materials , and smooth table presence .
Key Features:
- Organized for ultra-fast setup : no fiddling, just lift and play
- Card holders go directly onto the board, matching the printed card piles
- Iron and coal trays fit exactly onto the board grids and lift over seamlessly
- Coin trays split into two for better reachability on both sides of the table
- Merchant tiles sorted by player count for quick game prep
- Spacer added between coins and player boards for easy box access
- Fits full 3D-printed premium components : iron, coal, barrels, trains, and barges
- Designed for vertical storage (recommended to use elastic bands due to the slim box)
Important notes:
- As a deliberate design tradeoff to maintain a clean and logical layout, the insert has a 1.5 mm lid lift. See images
- This insert is designed for the retail edition of Brass: Birmingham — not the deluxe edition.
