Round-Brilliant Diamond Token — Board Game Gem (Parametric)

Designer's Description

A round-brilliant cut diamond, modelled as a tabletop game gem — a resource token, victory-point counter, or treasure marker. Facet geometry reads as a real brilliant: a scalloped girdle, a straight crown flare up to a flat table, and a stepped pavilion narrowing to a small culet.

  • 14 mm girdle diameter, ~9 mm tall — a chunky, tactile gem
  • 16 facets around; crown / pavilion proportions tuned to a brilliant cut
  • Reads beautifully in clear / translucent filament (see photo — a dozen printed in clear PETG)

Files:

  • diamond_token.scad — parametric source. Tune gd (girdle diameter), N (facet count), crown_f , pav_f , etc. at the top of the file.
  • diamond_token.stl — a single gem, print-oriented
  • diamond_token_x4.stl — a 4-up plate for batch printing

Print:

  • Prints TABLE DOWN — flat table on the bed, culet (point) UP. The pavilion narrows upward so there are no overhangs; the crown flare is tuned to stay under 45 degrees. No supports needed.
  • 0.2 mm layers; 0.12 mm for the crispest facets
  • Clear / translucent PLA or PETG gives the best gem sparkle. An ironed top layer or a light polish glasses the table for extra shine.
